PridePlanners Conference

Friday, September 25, 2015

We wanted to pass along the following information to our membership about an upcoming conference in Boston:

The PridePlanners Conference is set for Friday, September 25, 2015, and will be packed with information and networking opportunities designed to keep you and your practice at the forefront of knowledge regarding service to LGBT and unmarried clients.  The conference will begin with a welcome from special guest, Massachusetts Senate President Stan Rosenberg, followed by an exciting panel addressing how to Socially Screen for LGBT issues when investing.  The rest of the day covers topics ranging from Elder Care Concerns to Estate and Tax Planning to the implications of the Supreme Court decision in Obergefell v. Hodges to much, much more.  The lunchtime keynote speaker is Julie Goodridge, lead plaintiff in the court case that led to the 2004 decision allowing same-sex marriage in MA, talking about "A Historical Perspective of Equal Marriage in America."  There will also be ample time for networking with other practitioners and exhibitors.

For a more detailed summary of planned sessions and speakers, please visit PridePlanners Presents: Changing Landscapes.

Finally, time is running out for early bird registration for the conference.  You have until July 7th for the early bird rate of $275.  After that, the rate for the day will be $325.  Remember, the PridePlanners Conference is the day before the national Financial Planning Association Conference and PridePlanners attendees are eligible to receive a 20% discount off the FPA registration if they choose to attend FPA also.  Attendance at the FPA conference is not required.
