Friday, July 11, 2014
10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Harvard Law School

On July 11, 2014, join equity advocates from around the region for a discussion about the region's key equity priorities, highlighting actions that are being taken - and those that need to be taken - to create a more equitable region.

This event will feature keynote remarks by Angela Glover Blackwell, Founder and CEO of PolicyLink, as well as the release of MAPC's State of Equity in Greater Boston Policy Agenda, and will be held from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at Harvard Law School, Wasserstein Hall, Room 2019 Milstein West, 1585 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA.

Local advocates will offer remarks on four of the Agenda's particularly significant recommendations:

  • Prevent displacement of residents from neighborhoods near rapid transit
  • Reduce health disparities
  • Design and retrofit municipalities to ensure climate change resilience for all residents
  • Facilitate statewide violence prevention programs

Lunch will be provided.
