Study Gender & the Law in Israel this Winter

Comparative Law: Gender in U.S., Israeli, and Jewish Law
Israel Winter Intersession Study Abroad Program
December 23, 2013 - January 3, 2014

Travel to Israel with Jennifer Levi, Western New England University School of Law professor and Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) Transgender Rights Project Director, to learn about gender, discrimination, equality, and justice in the American, Israeli, and Jewish legal regimes while staying in Tel Aviv.

The two-credit course will focus on three contemporary examples of challenges to gender segregation-at worship spaces, on public buses, and in restrooms-and will be taught in English at Haim Striks School of Law.

For more information, please visit here or contact Kaley Lentini, Center for Gender & Sexuality Studies Student Assistant, at kaleylentini@gmail.com. Applications from schools other than Western New England University are welcomed.
