BBA Reception Honoring Chief Justice Angela M. Ordoñez

A Reception To Congratulate Chief Justice Angela M. Ordoñez on her Appointment as Chief Justice of the Probate and Family Court

Former First Justice of the Norfolk Probate and Family Court, Angela M. Ordoñez was appointed by Paula M. Carey, Chief Justice of the Trial Court,  to serve as the new Chief Justice of the Probate and Family Court, effective July 16, 2013. 

Chief Justice Ordoñez has been serving as a justice in the Probate and Family Court for the past thirteen years and has demonstrated significant leadership skills.  In 2010, Chief Justice Ordoñez was named a Distinguished Jurist by the Massachusetts Association of Women Lawyers. In 2001, she received the Las Primeras Award from the Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys. When serving in Nantucket County, Chief Justice Ordoñez created the Community Court Program and introduced a Lawyer for the Day Program and while serving in Norfolk County, she started the Attorneys Representing Children Program.

Please join the Mass LGBTQ Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association, Family Law Section in congratulating Chief Justice Ordoñez on her selection and thanking her for her continued exemplary service to the Probate and Family Court.
