JBBBS LGBTQ+ Mentoring Program for Children

JBBBS LGBTQ+ Mentoring Program for Children

In January, Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters (JBBBS) launched an LGBTQ+ Initiative that matches LGBTQ+ and questioning children (ages 6-18) with an adult mentor (21+) in the LGBTQ community. The initiative has been very positively received, and has resulted in over 10 successful matches. This is a unique program that, thus far, has not existed in the Boston area. JBBBS's goal is to not only maintain current matches but also to grow and develop the program so that it can best address the needs of LGBTQ+ children and their families in the Greater Boston area.
With that in mind, JBBBS will be hosting an informational meeting on Thursday, December 10thfor prospective donors who have an interest in participating in the goal of creating a “donors funding circle” to raise the necessary funds to support this unique program.

For more information, contact Tania Gutman Gray, Director of Community Engagement and Outreach at tania@jbbbs.org.
