CTI: Participate in Transgender Day of Remembrance

As part of Transgender Awareness Week (Nov. 12-20, 2011), which is dedicated to educating people about the transgender community and the pressing issues they face in Massachusetts and the Nation, the Committee on Transgender Inclusion invites everyone to partipate in the Transgender Day of Remembrance.

The annual Transgender Day of Remembrance memorializes individuals who have been killed or victimized throughout the world in the previous year because of anti-transgender bias-motivated violence. This year there are observances in Lowell, Springfield, Boston, and Northampton. Join the community for inspirational speakers, community SpeakOut, candlelight vigil, and more. Benefitting the Transgender Emergency Fund, which lends a helping hand to those transgender people at greatest risk. For more information on the event or to become a sponsor, visit masstpc.org.
